Jessica Binegar, also known as "Jessica Keo," has been sentenced to 43 months in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Susan M. Bazis in Lincoln, Nebraska. After serving her prison term, Binegar will be subject to three years of supervised release.
The case against Binegar began with an investigation by the FBI and CODE Drug Task Force into drug trafficking activities in North Platte, Nebraska, starting in 2021. In March 2022, law enforcement executed a controlled buy using a Confidential Informant (CI) via Facebook. During this operation, Binegar was seen at the transaction site and identified through audio recordings as the supplier of the meth sold.
The substance obtained during the controlled buy was analyzed by the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab and found to be 12.9 grams of meth with a purity level yielding 12 grams of actual methamphetamine. Following this incident, authorities conducted three more controlled purchases from Binegar involving meth.
The investigation was carried out by the CODE Task Force, which comprises various law enforcement agencies across a 22-county region in west-central and southwest Nebraska. Participating agencies include the North Platte Police Department, Dawson County Sheriff's Office, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Red Willow County Sheriff's Office, Frontier County Sheriff's Office, Nebraska State Patrol, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
