The United States has imposed sanctions on two Iran-based entities and one Iranian individual. The actions are in response to activities that allegedly contribute to the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and ballistic missile programs.

Chekad Sanat Faraz Asia, based in Iran, is involved in manufacturing aviation components for Shahed-136 UAVs. It reportedly operates as a front company for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which was designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. in 2019.

Another entity, Saad Sazeh Faraz Sharif, also contributes to the production of Shahed series UAVs. This company provides aerospace engineering services and manufactures various parts including electronic circuits and communication systems.

Both companies have been designated under Section 1(a)(i) of Executive Order 13949. This order targets those engaged in activities contributing to the supply or transfer of arms or related materials to or from Iran.

In addition, Brigadier General Sayyed Hosein Majid Mousavi Eftekhari, Deputy Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, faces sanctions under Section 1(a)(ii) of Executive Order 13382. He is accused of engaging in activities related to Iran's ballistic missile program and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
