Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell held a meeting with the Republic of Korea's First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Hong Kyun in Washington. According to Spokesperson Matthew Miller, Deputy Secretary Campbell expressed strong U.S. support for South Korea, its citizens, and its democratic system.
During the meeting, Campbell emphasized that the commitment of the United States to the U.S.-ROK Alliance remains firm. He highlighted significant advancements in bilateral relations over recent years and mentioned that the United States is eager to collaborate with Acting President Han on various shared interests.
