Shawnle McClary, a resident of Rochester, New York, has entered a guilty plea in a case involving drug trafficking and firearms. U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced that McClary pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr., admitting to charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and fentanyl, along with possession of firearms related to drug trafficking. The legal repercussions for these charges range from a minimum sentence of 15 years to a possible life sentence.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert A. Marangola provided details on the case, noting that between 2021 and January 17, 2024, McClary worked with Timothy Jackson, Jr., also known as T or T-Rock, Gary Fuller, also known as G, Felicia Collins, also known as Keisha, and others in distributing cocaine and fentanyl. McClary was involved in packaging cocaine for sale and transporting both drugs from stash locations on Forester Street to sale points on Angle Street in Rochester.
On January 17, 2024, law enforcement conducted searches across several locations tied to the conspiracy and at McClary’s residence in Greece Town. These searches resulted in the seizure of approximately 805 grams of cocaine, 210 grams of fentanyl, an additional 223 grams of cocaine, $7,682 in cash, seven loaded firearms, and various drug paraphernalia.
This case is part of an operation by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF), which focuses on dismantling high-level criminal organizations through a coordinated multi-agency approach led by prosecutors. The investigation was carried out by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives under Special Agent-in-Charge Bryan Miller's direction and the Rochester Police Department under Chief David Smith's leadership.
McClary's sentencing is set for April 9, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., presided over by Judge Geraci.
