Robert Charles Marshall, a 64-year-old resident of Eufaula, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 37 months in prison for the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma made this announcement following an investigation conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, alongside the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Marshall pleaded guilty on August 12, 2024, to one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition. Investigators reported that on November 15, 2023, he knowingly possessed multiple firearms and various rounds of ammunition despite having a prior conviction punishable by more than one year in prison.

The case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence through collaboration between law enforcement agencies and communities. The program focuses on fostering trust within communities, supporting violence prevention organizations, setting strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring outcomes.

Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the hearing at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Marshall will remain under the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transported to a designated facility within the United States Bureau of Prisons to serve his non-paroleable sentence.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jessica Bove represented the United States in this case.
