A Church Rock man, Nathaniel Luz, has been sentenced to 264 months in prison following his guilty plea to multiple counts of sexual abuse involving three young victims. The offenses involved two children under the age of 12 and a third victim who was between 12 and 16 years old.

Court documents reveal that Luz, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, engaged in inappropriate contact with the first two victims from January 2014 to December 2021. In August 2022, he committed a sexual act with the third victim.

Upon completing his prison term, Luz will face fifteen years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender.

The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Alexander M.M. Uballez and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's Albuquerque Field Office.

The investigation was conducted by the Farmington Resident Agency of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office with assistance from the Navajo Police Department and the Navajo Department of Criminal Investigations. Assistant U.S. Attorney Brittany DuChaussee is prosecuting this case under Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to address child sexual exploitation and abuse.
