TechNet, a national network of CEOs and senior executives from the innovation economy, has announced new leadership appointments. Aparna Bawa, Zoom's Chief Operating Officer, has been named Chair for 2025-26. Kerry McLean, Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Intuit, will serve as Vice Chair. Both will hold their positions for two years following an election by TechNet’s Executive Council.
Bawa succeeds Ed Knight of Nasdaq, who has chaired TechNet since 2023 and will continue to serve on the Executive Council. Mamoon Hamid from Kleiner Perkins joins the council for a two-year term.

Mamoon Hamid highlighted TechNet's role as a bridge between tech hubs and policymakers: "It is the tech industry’s powerful bridge between Silicon Valley, Washington, D.C., and state capitals across the country."
Bawa's career includes roles at Zoom as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel. She previously worked at Magento Inc., Nimble Storage Inc., Inphi Corp., Lehman Brothers, Deutsche Bank, and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
McLean leads Intuit’s legal teams supporting its global mission. Her previous experience includes roles at Wind River Systems Inc. and Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin PC.
Hamid is known for his investments in companies like Slack and Figma. His background includes co-founding Social Capital and working with U.S. Venture Partners.
The Executive Council also includes leaders from Nasdaq, Revolution, Box, Coursera, CrowdSmart, Google, Amazon among others. Founders John Chambers of JC2 Ventures and John Doerr of Kleiner Perkins remain active members.
