U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced the removal of the scheduling functionality from its CBP One mobile application. This change took effect on January 20, 2025, at noon EST.

Previously, the app allowed aliens to submit advanced information and schedule appointments at eight southwest border ports of entry. All existing appointments have been canceled as a result of this update.

Those affected by the cancellations have been notified accordingly. Despite this change, CBP continues to emphasize its commitment to efficiently processing applicants for admission at U.S. ports of entry while adhering to U.S. immigration laws.

CBP describes itself as "America's frontline: the nation's largest law enforcement organization and the world's first unified border management agency." The agency comprises over 65,000 personnel dedicated to protecting America across various domains—land, air, and sea. CBP aims to facilitate safe and lawful travel and trade while ensuring economic prosperity and enhancing national security through innovation, intelligence, collaboration, and trust.
