The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced the indictment of Kyle Grey, a 35-year-old resident of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. The indictment, issued on January 23, 2025, charges Grey with four counts related to the production of child pornography.
Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus stated that the indictment accuses Grey of producing child pornography on three occasions around October 9, 2024, and once more on October 29, 2024.
The investigation was conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Alisan V. Martin is responsible for prosecuting this case.
This legal action is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to address child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project combines federal, state, and local resources to locate and prosecute those who exploit children sexually while also working to identify and rescue victims. Under federal law, each charge carries a maximum penalty of up to 30 years in prison with a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years' imprisonment. Sentences are determined by a judge based on federal sentencing statutes and guidelines after a guilty verdict.
It is important to note that indictments are merely allegations; all individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
