Robert J. "Bob" Troester U.S. Attorney | U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma
Damien Christopher Hamilton, a 23-year-old resident of Stephens County, has entered a guilty plea to charges of possessing child pornography in Indian Country. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.
Hamilton was indicted by a federal Grand Jury on September 4, 2024, for possession of child pornography. According to the indictment, he was found with an iPhone containing images classified as child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on June 13, 2024.
On January 22, 2025, Hamilton admitted guilt to possessing both images and videos of CSAM. He now faces a potential sentence of up to 20 years in federal prison and may be fined up to $250,000.
The case is being handled at the federal level because Hamilton is a member of the Chickasaw Nation and the offenses occurred within its boundaries.
The investigation involved multiple agencies including the Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse Police Department, Duncan Police Department, and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Kaleigh Blackwell is leading the prosecution.
