In response to a recent memo from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has announced that its financial assistance programs will remain unaffected. The OMB's memo, dated January 27, suggested a temporary pause on certain agency grant, loan, and financial assistance programs.
The VA confirmed it conducted a thorough review of all its federal financial assistance initiatives in consultation with the OMB. Following this analysis, the department assured that all 44 of its financial assistance programs would continue without interruption.
Acting VA Secretary Todd Hunter stated, "This will have no impact on VA health care, benefits or beneficiaries."
