According to Department of Defense Spokesman John Ullyot, Secretary Hegseth emphasized that "under President Trump's leadership, the United States fully supports Israel's right to defend itself," recognizing Israel as a key ally in the region.

The conversation also highlighted the commitment of the United States to enhance its security relationship with Israel. Secretary Hegseth assured that efforts would be made to bolster Israel's capabilities against regional threats.

Both defense leaders agreed on maintaining close communication in future engagements.
