The National Association of REALTORS has announced the release of the fifth season of its docuseries "First-Time Buyer," now available on Hulu. This season offers an in-depth look at the homebuying process through stories from New York and Connecticut, presented in eight episodes, each under 20 minutes.

"Season 5 of ‘First-Time Buyer’ captures the triumphs, challenges and deeply personal stories of home buyers in today’s market," said Alicia Bailey, NAR’s head of production. The series highlights the role and expertise that real estate agents who are REALTORS play in advising clients amid competitive markets and unique financial situations.

This season introduces new narratives including a multigenerational family seeking a suitable home, a young couple aiming to build wealth with a multiunit property, a New Yorker transitioning from renting to owning a co-op, and an international buyer purchasing a home closer to aging parents.

Key concepts such as written buyer agreements are emphasized this season. These agreements outline services provided by real estate professionals and their compensation. The show also addresses challenges like bidding wars, understanding inspection reports, and budget management.

"This season’s stories are driven by real-life questions and issues that buyers face," said Mabél Guzmán, chair of NAR’s Consumer Communications Committee. She highlighted the importance of working with an agent who is a REALTOR for guidance through the homeownership journey.

Previous seasons can be streamed on Hulu, YouTube, Facebook, and firsttimebuyer.realtor. "First-Time Buyer" is part of NAR's national consumer advertising campaign aimed at illustrating experiences in buying or selling property with REALTOR support.

The National Association of REALTORS is America's largest trade association involved in residential and commercial real estate sectors. The term REALTOR identifies members adhering to NAR's Code of Ethics. For more information on navigating home transactions, visit facts.realtor.
