Yesterday, Secretary Kristi Noem visited the Southern Border to meet with Border Patrol agents. The visit aimed to assess how the Department can best support their efforts in securing the border. During her visit, she committed to providing Customs and Border Protection (CBP) with necessary resources to prevent criminals and drugs from entering the United States.
"Already under President Trump’s leadership, daily encounters at our southern border have plunged 93 percent," stated Secretary Noem.
As part of her visit, Secretary Noem took an aerial tour from Del Rio to Eagle Pass, Texas, to survey the southern border. She reiterated her commitment to ensuring that CBP has adequate resources for border security.
