The National Association of REALTORS (NAR) has announced a significant change to its Innovation, Opportunity & Investment (iOi) initiative. Previously an annual summit, iOi will now operate as a continuous engagement platform aimed at providing real estate professionals with advanced tools, insights, and networking opportunities.

This shift transforms iOi into a year-round collective focused on real estate technology and innovation. NAR members, PropTech founders, investors, and technology leaders will have ongoing access to industry insights and connections through various channels such as real-time updates, in-person meetups, webinars, a tech blog, and curated programming at major NAR conferences.

"The new iOi collective's overarching goal is to expand the community and drive innovation by bringing together real estate professionals and technology leaders," said Dan Weisman, NAR director of innovation strategy. "Technology is reshaping real estate faster than ever, and iOi is evolving to meet the industry's needs."

As part of this evolution, two key features of iOi are being integrated into NAR's flagship conferences. The Innovator of the Year awards will be held during the REALTORS Legislative Meetings in Washington D.C., each spring. Meanwhile, the Pitch Battle event for startups will take place at NAR NXT: The REALTOR Experience in Houston this November.

"As the industry continues to advance, iOi ensures that real estate professionals don't just keep up with technology – they help define its future," Weisman added.
