Susan T. Lehr, U.S. Attorney | U.S. Attorney for the District of Nebraska
Jaden Stuart, a 32-year-old resident of Omaha, Nebraska, has been sentenced to 36 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl analogue. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher on January 29, 2025. Following his prison term, Stuart will serve a two-year period of supervised release. It is noted that there is no parole available in the federal system.
The charges stem from an incident on November 24, 2023, when the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 80. Jaden Stuart was a passenger in the vehicle driven by co-defendant Kyle Bahnsen. During the stop, officers conducted a probable cause search and discovered approximately 59 small blue pills marked M-30 identified as fentanyl pills, along with 13.3 grams of fentanyl and 1.4 grams of methamphetamine. These substances were intended for distribution.
Kyle Bahnsen received his sentence on September 19, 2024. He was sentenced to one year and one day in prison followed by three years of supervised release.
The investigation into this case was carried out by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Drug Overdose Task Force.
