Duane A. Evans, U.S. Attorney | U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana
U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans announced that Eric Charles Fuller, a 54-year-old from Springfield, Missouri, has pled guilty to interstate travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct. The plea was entered on February 4, 2025, before United States District Judge Greg Gerard Guidry.
Court documents reveal that on December 7, 2023, law enforcement personnel posing as a mother and her twelve-year-old daughter interacted with Fuller online. Over the following month, Fuller expressed his desire to engage in sexual acts with both the "mother" and "daughter." He subsequently arranged to travel from Springfield to New Orleans for this purpose. Fuller arrived in Mandeville, Louisiana on January 12, 2024.
Fuller faces up to thirty years of imprisonment and may also be required to register as a sex offender. Sentencing is set for May 13, 2025.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative by the Department of Justice aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. U.S. Attorney Evans commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation for their role in the investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Jordan Ginsberg leads the prosecution.
