Today, Marlon Dewayne Martin, a 44-year-old resident of Oklahoma City, entered a guilty plea to charges of sex trafficking involving a child. This development was announced by U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.
Martin faced a four-count indictment from a federal Grand Jury on September 17, 2024. The charges included sex trafficking and sexual exploitation of a child, along with distribution and possession of child pornography. According to the indictment details, between September 15, 2023, and February 26, 2024, Martin was involved in recruiting and engaging a minor in commercial sex acts while also producing and distributing child sexual abuse material.
In court today, Martin admitted guilt to Count 1 of the indictment. He confessed to organizing commercial sex appointments involving the minor and providing hotel accommodations for these activities. At his sentencing hearing, Martin could receive a prison sentence ranging from ten years to life imprisonment and face fines up to $250,000.
The investigation leading to these charges was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations in collaboration with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs as well as the Oklahoma City Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Bow Bottomly is handling the prosecution.
