A man from Northwoods, St. Louis County, Missouri, has been charged with child sex trafficking. Rodarius Servick, 50, was indicted in the U.S. District Court in St. Louis on charges of child sex trafficking and traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct. Servick appeared in court and pleaded not guilty.
The indictment alleges that between August 19 and September 13, 2024, Servick was involved in recruiting, enticing, harboring, transporting or providing a minor for commercial sex acts and transporting the minor across state lines for prostitution on August 19.
Charges in an indictment are accusations and do not prove guilt. Every defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
A motion filed to keep Servick detained until trial states that law enforcement discovered a runaway juvenile being trafficked on September 13, 2024. Detectives found an online advertisement featuring her picture. The St. Louis County Police Department conducted an undercover operation that led to her recovery days later.
The FBI, the St. Louis County Police Department and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Dianna Edwards is prosecuting it.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The initiative involves federal, state and local resources to locate and prosecute individuals exploiting children via the Internet while identifying and rescuing victims.
