On Tuesday, Secretary Noem signed a memorandum that allows up to 600 special agents from the State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service to assist in arresting and deporting illegal immigrants. This action is part of broader efforts under President Trump's administration to enhance immigration enforcement.
“Under President Trump, the Department of Homeland Security will use every tool and resource available to secure our border and get criminal illegal aliens out of our country,” stated Secretary Noem. “The safety of American citizens comes first.”
Additionally, employees from the IRS and DOJ have been deputized to support immigration enforcement actions. These measures are intended to provide law enforcement with the necessary resources to fulfill President Trump's commitment to conduct mass deportations.
