U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), with support from the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), conducted a routine enforcement operation in Arlington, Virginia, on February 11. The operation resulted in the arrest of three individuals who were illegally present in Northern Virginia.
“These illegally present individuals were in the Northern Virginia area in violation of U.S. immigration laws,” stated Patrick Divver, acting Field Office Director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Washington, D.C. He emphasized that “ICE Washington, D.C.’s mission is to ensure the safety and security of our District of Columbia and Virginia communities through the arrest and removal of those individuals who undermine the safety of our communities and the integrity of our immigration laws.”
The arrests included a 68-year-old Mexican national previously removed to Mexico in May 2003 but re-entered the United States illegally. This individual was convicted of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct/public intoxication.
A second arrest involved a 49-year-old Salvadoran national with a conviction for driving while intoxicated (DWI) from February 2010 and another charge for DWI in December 2024, both occurring in Prince William County, Virginia. An immigration judge ordered this individual removed from the U.S. in November 2005.
The third individual arrested was a 30-year-old Bolivian national who violated terms related to his lawful admission into the United States.
