Congressman Emmer on Crypto Cause: 'the most pro-crypto Congress and Presidential Administration in history'

Congressman Tom Emmer, House Majority Whip, said that millions of American voters elected the most pro-crypto Congress and Presidential Administration in history, leading to the launch of the Congressional Crypto Caucus. Emmer made this statement in a March 3 post on X.

"Millions of American voters made their voices heard at the ballot box in November," said Emmer, House Majority Whip. "You elected the most pro-crypto Congress and Presidential Administration in history. To capitalize on this opportunity, Rep. Ritchie and I have launched the Congressional Crypto Caucus."

The newly formed Congressional Crypto Caucus is a bipartisan effort to advance policies supporting the growth of the digital asset industry in the United States. According to a press release from Emmer’s office, the caucus will serve as a coordinated group advocating for regulatory clarity, innovation, and consumer protections in the crypto space. This initiative comes as lawmakers debate major legislative efforts, including stablecoin and market structure bills.

The launch of the Congressional Crypto Caucus coincides with a surge in U.S. digital asset adoption, with over 50 million Americans now holding cryptocurrency. A recent report from the Pew Research Center found that public interest in crypto continues to grow, with bipartisan support for clearer regulations. The initiative by Emmer and Torres reflects increasing legislative focus on integrating blockchain technology into the financial system.

Emmer, representing Minnesota's 6th congressional district, has been a vocal advocate for cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. As House Majority Whip and a member of the House Financial Services Committee, he has introduced several bills aimed at providing regulatory clarity for digital assets and fostering innovation in the financial technology sector.

According to an X post, the Congressional Crypto Caucus is co-chaired by Representatives Tom Emmer and Ritchie Torres. The caucus aims to serve as a unified, nonpartisan voting bloc in Congress to support and defend open, permissionless, and private innovation in the United States.
