A Chesterfield man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for possession with intent to distribute cocaine. The sentencing took place in Richmond, Virginia.
Court documents reveal that on May 18, 2023, Urain Alexander Robinson, aged 52, was approached by a co-conspirator seeking to buy cocaine. That evening, Robinson transported several kilograms of cocaine from his home to the co-conspirator's residence in Hopewell and distributed it there. Shortly after this transaction, another co-conspirator collected three kilograms of the cocaine from the location but was intercepted by police shortly thereafter.
The police recovered the cocaine and seized $8,381 in drug-trafficking proceeds from Robinson's home on May 14, 2024.
Robinson has a history of convictions dating back to 1992 in Virginia for possession with intent to distribute heroin and other offenses. He was also convicted in New Jersey in 1993 for possession with intent to distribute cocaine and again in the Eastern District of Virginia in 2005 for similar charges.
The announcement came from Erik S. Siebert, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, alongside Ibrar A. Mian, Special Agent in Charge for the DEA’s Washington Division. The investigation received assistance from the Chesterfield County Police Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Ellen Hubbard led the prosecution of this case.
