Buddy Hughes, chairman of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), has extended congratulations to Bill Pulte following his confirmation by the Senate as the new director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA).
Hughes stated, "NAHB congratulates Bill Pulte on his Senate confirmation as the new director of the FHFA. We stand ready to work with Director Pulte to help address the nation’s housing affordability crisis by promoting policies that ensure stable and liquid mortgage markets for single-family and multifamily housing."
The NAHB is committed to collaborating with Director Pulte to enhance access to financing for builders and home buyers. Hughes emphasized that this effort aims to increase the supply of attainable, affordable housing in response to market demand, which will contribute to maintaining a strong economy.
Providing builders with better access to financing is seen as a crucial step in boosting housing supply, according to Hughes' statement. This aligns with NAHB's mission to support policies that foster stable mortgage markets.
