U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers from the New York Field Office and the Port of New York/Newark are set to conduct interviews for conditionally approved Global Entry applicants in Wall Township, NJ. This special one-day event is scheduled for Saturday, March 15th, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Wall Township Municipal Building located at 2700 Allaire Road.

The event aims to provide a more convenient location for applicants to complete their enrollment process, which usually takes place at a CBP Enrollment Center located at a port-of-entry. "CBP recognizes that Global Entry is a very popular program and that there is a significant demand for Global Entry interviews," CBP stated, adding that such collaborative events with local municipalities help alleviate demand from Enrollment Centers.

Global Entry is part of the Department of Homeland Security’s Trusted Traveler Programs and requires an in-person interview before initial enrollment. It offers expedited processing for travelers returning from international travel and access to TSA Pre✓ benefits.

To become a member, individuals must apply online, pay a non-refundable fee, undergo background vetting, and complete an in-person interview. A new Global Entry Mobile App will soon be available to allow members to validate their arrival on iOS or Android devices before entering the Federal Inspection Services area.

"While Global Entry’s goal is to speed travelers through the process, members may still be selected for further examination when entering the United States," according to CBP. Violations of program terms can lead to enforcement actions and termination of membership privileges.

CBP describes itself as America's frontline: "the nation's largest law enforcement organization and the world's first unified border management agency." The agency's personnel work across various domains including land, air, and sea ports of entry.

More information about Global Entry can be found on its dedicated webpage.
