Frito-Lay has initiated a recall regarding a select number of 13 oz. bags of Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips. These products may inadvertently contain nacho cheese tortilla chips, posing a risk due to undeclared milk. Individuals with milk allergies or severe sensitivities could experience serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the affected chips.
The recall affects items distributed through various retail outlets, including groceries, convenience stores, drug stores, and e-commerce platforms in 13 states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Sales of these chips commenced on March 7, 2025.
No allergic reactions have been reported so far. Other Tostitos products, varieties, or packaging are not part of this recall. The recall involves fewer than 1,300 bags, all packaged flexibly.
Consumers with milk allergies or sensitivities are advised not to consume the chips and should dispose of them. Frito-Lay has informed the FDA about the situation.
