The Department of State has appointed Massad Boulos as the Senior Advisor for Africa. Boulos also holds a position as a Senior Advisor to the President on Arab and Middle Eastern Affairs.
Boulos, along with Corina Sanders, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, is set to visit the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda starting April 3. The visit will involve meetings with Heads of State and business leaders. The objective is to further efforts for lasting peace in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and to encourage U.S. private sector investment in these regions.
