The United States has extradited Tahawwur Hussain Rana to India on April 9 to address charges related to the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks. These events led to the loss of 166 lives, including six Americans, and impacted global communities.
The U.S. has consistently offered support to India in its pursuit of holding those accountable for the attacks. "The United States has long supported India’s efforts to ensure those responsible for these attacks are brought to justice," stated an official release. Furthermore, President Trump emphasized continued collaboration between the United States and India against terrorism, saying, "The United States and India will continue to work together to combat the global scourge of terrorism."
