U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Steven Witkoff and U.S. Ambassador to Oman Ana Escrogima engaged in talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Abbas Araghchi in Muscat. The talks were facilitated by Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi.
The discussions were acknowledged as "very positive and constructive," with express gratitude from the United States to Oman for its support. Special Envoy Witkoff conveyed to Dr. Araghchi that he was directed by President Trump to seek resolution to the nations' differences through dialogue and diplomacy. He noted, "These issues are very complicated, and Special Envoy Witkoff’s direct communication today was a step forward in achieving a mutually beneficial outcome."
The parties have agreed to reconvene next Saturday for further discussions.
