Secretary Bessent acknowledged Argentina's swift negotiations with the United States over reciprocal trade measures, expressing anticipation to co-chair pending discussions with Argentina, alongside the USTR, very soon. Further acknowledging Argentina's international financial efforts, Bessent congratulated Minister Caputo on successful negotiations with the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and Inter-American Development Bank.
The Trump Administration's dedication to maintaining its role as "Argentina’s partner of choice" received particular emphasis from Secretary Bessent during the meeting.
