New England Village Foods recalls snack mix over allergen labeling issues

New England Village Foods has announced a recall of its "19th Hole Snack Mix" due to undeclared allergens. The products, available in 5-ounce and 10-ounce containers, may contain almonds and sesame that are not listed in the "Contains" statement. This poses a risk for people with allergies to these ingredients.

The snack mix was distributed across small independent grocery markets and convenience stores throughout New England, New York, and Pennsylvania. Each package is identified by UPC codes 609465693477 (5 oz.) and 642147152459 (10 oz.), printed on the lid in black ink.

No related illnesses have been reported so far. The recall followed a customer's discovery of the issue, which prompted an FDA review. It was found that sesame was missing from the "Contains" statement despite being listed in the ingredient list. The problem resulted from a temporary breakdown in the company's packaging process.

As a precaution, production has been temporarily halted. Consumers who purchased these packages are advised to return them for a full refund. For further inquiries, customers can contact New England Village Foods at 1.603.554.1873 during business hours.

"A previous version of this press release was issued on 4/24/25," noted New England Village Foods, adding that "this press release was updated to include that sesame was not listed in the 'contains' statement."
