The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado has announced an indictment against five individuals accused of distributing fentanyl in the state. The defendants, Exor Omar Villanueva Raudales, also known as "Brian," Alex Yubini Canaca Calix, Luis Fernando Banega Moncada, Alejandro Torres Ochoa, and Juan Carlos Sosa Villanueva, face charges related to possessing with intent to distribute fentanyl between June 2024 and April 2025.

According to the indictment, several episodes occurred where one or more defendants distributed fentanyl pills. Raudales is implicated in four instances alongside Calix, Moncada, and Villanueva. Ochoa is involved in two separate deals; one independently and another with Raudales and Villanueva. The transactions reportedly involved significant quantities of fentanyl.

Moncada, Ochoa, and Villanueva are Honduran nationals without legal status in the United States. They appeared in federal court on April 29, 2025, and have been detained pending trial following detention hearings. Raudales remains at large while Calix has been previously deported due to unlawful presence.

This case forms part of Operation Take Back America—a national initiative utilizing resources from various Department of Justice programs aimed at combating illegal immigration and dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations.

It is important to note that these charges are allegations. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
