U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins concluded her first day in the United Kingdom as part of a trade delegation visit. This trip follows President Donald J. Trump's announcement of a new U.K. trade deal, aimed at reducing tariffs and enhancing market access.

"American agriculture is the 'crown jewel' of our country's exports to global markets," stated Secretary Rollins. She discussed export opportunities with key officials, including U.S. Ambassador to the U.K. Warren Stephens, Secretary for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Rt. Hon. Steve Reed, and Secretary for Business and Trade Rt. Hon. Jonathan Reynolds.

Rollins emphasized President Trump's commitment to prioritizing American farmers by working towards increased agricultural product access in the U.K.

On his first day as Ambassador, Warren Stephens met with Secretary Rollins to discuss these initiatives.

Additionally, Rollins hosted a roundtable with the U.S. agriculture industry to explore how USDA can bolster exports through trade promotion programs.

A meeting was also held at Parliament with Rt. Hon. Steve Reed from DEFRA.

Secretary Rollins has prioritized advocating for American agricultural exports by seeking increased market access and ensuring fair treatment for American farmers abroad. She criticized the previous administration's handling of agricultural trade, noting a shift from surplus under Trump to deficit under Biden.
