An Everett man, Trevor Jones, 47, has pleaded guilty in a federal court in Boston to four counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. The plea was entered before U.S. District Court Judge Allison D. Burroughs, who scheduled the sentencing for August 12, 2025. Jones was indicted by a federal grand jury in May 2023 and has been in state custody since his arrest on March 23, 2023.
According to court documents, Jones operated a sex trafficking ring from at least 2016 until 2023. He targeted victims suffering from substance use disorder and provided them with controlled substances such as heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine to maintain their dependency and compliance. The indictment alleges that Jones enforced "loyalty" through violence and threats while restricting victims' access to drugs from other sources.
The prosecution presented evidence of Jones's abusive tactics during the operation. One victim was reportedly beaten with a belt causing extensive bruising; when confronted about this abuse, Jones allegedly stated she deserved it. Another victim faced verbal abuse and was locked out of the house for not showing enough "loyalty." A third victim experienced degradation with demands to "make daddy proud."
The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years imprisonment up to life, along with at least five years of supervised release and a potential fine up to $250,000. Sentencing will follow guidelines set by U.S. statutes.
The announcement of the guilty plea was made by United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Kimberly Milka, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Boston Division; Colonel Geoffrey D. Noble of the Massachusetts State Police; and Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker. The case received support from police departments in Revere, Arlington, and Boston.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Riley along with Assistant United States Attorney Torey B. Cummings are leading the prosecution with assistance from Essex County Assistant District Attorneys Jessica Strasnick and Marina Moriarty.
