An Amherst resident has been sentenced in federal court for offenses related to child pornography. Bradley Driscoll, 27, received a five-year prison term from U.S. District Court Judge Mark G. Mastroianni, followed by five years of supervised release. Additionally, Driscoll must pay $25,000 in restitution to the victims.
In February 2025, Driscoll pleaded guilty to distributing and possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). He was indicted by a federal grand jury in October 2023.
The charges stem from an incident on August 29, 2022, when Driscoll distributed and possessed CSAM through a Kik chat conversation with an undercover agent. During this exchange, he showed interest in obtaining CSAM materials and shared a link containing approximately 345 files depicting minors being sexually abused.
Driscoll admitted ownership of the Kik username and confirmed that he found the link through other chat groups on the platform. He also acknowledged requesting CSAM from the undercover agent and confirmed that the shared link contained illicit materials involving young children.
The announcement of the sentencing was made by United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Kimberly Milka, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Boston Division; and Chief Gabriel Ting of the Amherst Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Suzanne Sullivan Jacobus prosecuted the case as part of Project Safe Childhood.
Project Safe Childhood is a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The program coordinates efforts among federal, state, and local resources to apprehend offenders and rescue victims.
