Tommy Allen Winkler, a 37-year-old resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to theft in Indian Country. The plea was entered in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
According to court documents, Winkler was charged with taking and carrying away money and personal property from three victims. The thefts occurred between November 16, 2022, and June 14, 2024. The stolen items had a value exceeding $1,000.
The crime took place in Muskogee County on the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Reservation. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted Winkler's guilty plea and ordered a presentence investigation report. Sentencing will be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other factors.
Winkler has been released on bond while awaiting sentencing. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua Satter represented the United States in this case.
