The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) have scheduled two public meetings to gather feedback on the draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed Southern Nevada Supplemental Airport. The new airport aims to increase airfield capacity in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area, catering to both commercial and general aviation aircraft.
These meetings are part of an environmental review process that allows the public to learn about the project and provide comments. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at East Las Vegas Library's Multipurpose Rooms 1 & 2, located at 2851 East Bonanza Road, Las Vegas, NV 89101. The second meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., taking place at Primm Valley Casino Resorts' Primm Valley Ballroom at 31900 South Las Vegas Boulevard, Primm, NV 89019.
For further details on registration and additional information regarding these meetings, interested parties can visit the FAA and BLM project webpages.
Besides attending these meetings in person, individuals can submit their input via email to SNSAEIS@landrumbrown.com or by mail addressed to David Kessler at the Federal Aviation Administration's Western-Pacific Region office or Joanie Guerrero at the Bureau of Land Management's Las Vegas Field Office.
The deadline for submitting comments is set for Friday, September 5, 2025.
