Zyjee Lind, also known as "Fredo," a 30-year-old resident of Troy, New York, was arraigned on charges related to firearms and drug offenses. The indictment accuses Lind of possessing firearms as a previously convicted felon, possessing controlled substances with the intent to distribute, and possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes. This announcement was made by United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III and Craig L. Tremaroli, Special Agent in Charge of the Albany Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
If found guilty on all counts, Lind could face a minimum sentence of five years and up to life imprisonment. Additionally, he could be subject to supervised release for at least three years or potentially for life. Sentencing would be determined by a judge based on relevant statutes, U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and other considerations.
It is important to note that the charges are accusations at this stage; Lind is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The FBI is leading the investigation into this case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan S. Reiner handling the prosecution.
