House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer has expressed his condolences following the death of Ranking Member Gerry Connolly. In a statement, Comer acknowledged Connolly's dedication to public service and his representation of Virginia’s 11th Congressional District.
Comer stated, “I’m deeply saddened by the passing of Ranking Member Gerry Connolly. He was a dedicated public servant who represented Virginia’s 11th Congressional District with honor and integrity. We mourn the loss of our friend and colleague, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.”
