The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is marking two decades of collaboration with Holder Construction Group LLC, a partnership that has significantly enhanced worker safety and health since its inception in 2005.
These partnerships have been instrumental in reducing workplace injuries, illnesses, and exposure to hazards. They have also expanded safety training initiatives and promoted robust safety and health programs. The alliance supports OSHA’s long-term goal of fostering cooperative safety management between contractors and the federal government.
Holder Construction has shown a strong commitment to workplace safety beyond its partnership with OSHA by supporting national initiatives such as OSHA’s Fall Stand-Down and Safe + Sound campaigns. The company actively participates in the Georgia Struck-by Alliance and Stand-Down, which has trained over 140,000 workers. Additionally, Holder contributes to the Georgia Mental Health Alliance through donations of services and supplies. It invites OSHA to conduct verification audits at partnership sites and engages OSHA compliance assistance specialists to speak with more than 100 safety professionals during its annual Safety Day.
The first strategic partnership agreement between OSHA and Holder Construction was signed on May 26, 2005, for work at the Maynard Holbrook Jackson Jr. International Terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Since then, these partnerships have extended to other significant projects including the State Farm Arena, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and Trilith LIVE!.
Holder Construction has trained nearly 40,000 workers in the Southeast region, including thousands from construction industry contractors. The company also offers free OSHA 10-hour training sessions to hundreds of high school students each year to prepare future construction professionals with a focus on safety.
OSHA’s Strategic Partnership Program involves employers, workers, and industry groups working together to achieve measurable improvements in workplace safety and health.
