The White House has approved Ambassador William E. Grayson as Commissioner General for the USA Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, according to an announcement from the Department of State. Ambassador Grayson's appointment continues a tradition of civic-minded leaders representing the President in advancing America's foreign policy interests at global events.
Ambassador Grayson is currently on leave from RBC Wealth Management, where he serves as Managing Director and Founder of The Grayson Group. He previously worked as Alliance Bernstein’s National Director for Family Offices, pioneering their family office practice. His career also includes senior roles at J.P. Morgan and BancAmerica Securities.
In addition to his financial expertise, Ambassador Grayson practiced law for ten years and served in various government roles under five U.S. presidents. His service includes positions in the Department of the Army, the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships, and as Chairman of the Presidio Trust. He has also been involved with investment committees and boards such as the University of Hawaii Foundation and National Park Foundation.
World Expos offer opportunities to showcase American innovation and leadership globally. Expo 2025 Osaka began on April 13, 2025, expecting around 28 million visitors over six months. The USA Pavilion has already welcomed over 400,000 visitors with exhibits focused on U.S. exchange opportunities, travel, innovation, and space exploration.
