Orly Moises Garcia Hernandez, a 34-year-old Honduran national, has been charged in federal court with illegally entering military property and resisting arrest of a federal officer. The charges were announced by John P. Heekin, the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

According to court documents, on May 25, 2025, Garcia Hernandez crashed into a barricade at the gate of Naval Air Station Pensacola and fled from military personnel onto the base. He was eventually apprehended at gunpoint after a foot chase. If convicted, he faces up to 18 months in prison and deportation from the United States.

The investigation involved Homeland Security Investigations and the United States Navy. Assistant United States Attorney David L. Goldberg is prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, an initiative that uses resources from the Department of Justice to address illegal immigration and combat cartels and transnational criminal organizations. It aims to protect communities from violent crime through coordinated efforts involving various task forces.
