Mexican national pleads guilty to unlawful entry into the U.S

Juan De Dios Tena-Granados, a 39-year-old Mexican national, has been charged with unlawful entry into the United States. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Vermont announced that Tena-Granados was apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol agents in Highgate, Vermont, an area known for illegal crossings from Canada.

On May 27, 2025, Tena-Granados appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Kevin J. Doyle. He pleaded guilty to the charges and received a time-served sentence. During his post-arrest interview, he admitted to entering the country illegally.
