A Pittsburgh resident has admitted guilt in a federal court to charges of violating firearms laws, according to Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti. Morisee Williams, aged 41, entered a guilty plea before United States District Judge Marilyn J. Horan on June 4, 2025.
The court was informed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant at Williams' home in Pittsburgh's Knoxville neighborhood on May 7, 2024. The search led to the discovery of four firearms—two of which were stolen—along with approximately seven ammunition magazines, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and additional firearm accessories. As a convicted felon, Williams is legally barred from possessing firearms or ammunition.
Judge Horan has set the sentencing date for September 24, 2025. The law stipulates a possible sentence of up to 15 years in prison and fines reaching $250,000. However, the actual sentence will depend on the severity of the offense and Williams' prior criminal record.
Assistant United States Attorneys Katherine C. Jordan and Kelly M. Locher are handling the prosecution for this case. The investigation leading to Williams' prosecution was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation aimed at dismantling high-level criminal organizations through coordinated efforts across multiple law enforcement agencies.
