CBP launches new mobile app for border entry

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has introduced a new mobile application, CBP Link, aimed at travelers entering the United States. This app is designed to streamline data requirements and will incorporate functions previously available on the CBP Home app. The CBP Home app will now focus exclusively on self-deportation services.

CBP Link offers a unified digital solution for travelers, businesses, and other stakeholders. Users of the former CBP Home app do not need to make any changes as their previous information will automatically update once they download CBP Link.

The CBP Home app remains available for unlawfully present aliens wishing to submit their intent to depart. These individuals are eligible for cost-free travel, forgiveness of civil fines or penalties related to their failure to depart the U.S., and a $1,000 exit bonus upon confirmation of their return through the app. Those who have already submitted their intent using earlier versions of CBP Home do not need to resubmit.

Both applications can be downloaded for free from Google Play, Apple’s App Store, or directly from the CBP website.

CBP is recognized as America's frontline law enforcement organization and the world's first unified border management agency. With over 65,000 personnel, it safeguards America across land, air, and sea while facilitating lawful travel and trade to support economic prosperity. The agency emphasizes enhancing national security through innovation and collaboration.
