Niagara Falls man sentenced to prison for cocaine possession

U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that Jason P. Hoy, a 46-year-old resident of Niagara Falls, NY, has been sentenced to 33 months in prison for possession with intent to distribute cocaine. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey E. Intravatola, who managed the case, detailed that investigators executed a search warrant at Hoy's residence on May 5, 2023. During the search, authorities seized several items including bags containing crystal rock-like substances, grey powdery substances, white powdery substances, various colored pills, and green plant matter. Additionally, brass knuckles, a collapsible baton, a digital scale, and a police scanner were recovered.

The investigation leading to Hoy's sentencing was conducted by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office under Sheriff Michael Filicetti and the Drug Enforcement Administration led by Special Agent-in-Charge Frank Tarentino of the New York Field Division.
