Kevon Holston, a 27-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., received a seven-year prison sentence in Superior Court for committing robberies at two separate 7-Eleven stores in Northwest Washington, D.C. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro and Chief Pamela Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
Holston entered guilty pleas on March 31, 2025, to charges including armed robbery, possession of a firearm during a crime of violence, and robbery. Superior Court Judge Robert Salerno handed down the sentence which includes three years of supervised release following his prison term.
The incidents occurred on November 27 and December 28, 2024. On the first occasion at approximately 11:27 p.m., Holston entered a store on the 1600 block of 7th Street, Northwest. He pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money, receiving $200 before fleeing.
A month later at around 8:05 p.m., Holston targeted another store located on the 500 block of K Street, Northwest. Brandishing a gun again, he demanded money from an employee who could not open the register due to lacking the PIN. Another employee assisted by opening it and handing over $5 in cash to Holston before he fled.
U.S. Attorney Pirro and Chief Smith praised the efforts of MPD investigators involved in this case. They also recognized Assistant U.S. Attorney Rashmika Nedungadi for her role in prosecuting Holston.
