United States Attorney Lesley A. Woods announced that William Arthur Parrott, 54, from Lincoln, Nebraska, received a sentence of 25 years in federal prison for his involvement in a methamphetamine conspiracy. On June 12, 2025, United States District Judge Susan M. Bazis sentenced Parrott to 300 months of imprisonment without the possibility of parole. Following his release, Parrott will undergo five years of supervised release.

Parrott was found guilty by a jury in Lincoln on January 30, 2025. The trial lasted three days and included testimonies from three individuals who had engaged in drug distribution with Parrott between March 2020 and November 2022. Evidence presented at the trial involved text messages exchanged between Parrott and one witness about drug transactions, drugs discovered during a search of the witness's hotel room, information from searches of residences linked to other co-conspirators, a tracker placed on a co-conspirator’s vehicle, and surveillance conducted by narcotics investigators.

Parrott was held accountable for distributing approximately 11 kilograms of methamphetamine. His sentence was increased due to possession of a gun related to the drug offense and using his residence in Lincoln for drug distribution purposes.

The case was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force.
