The Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE), chaired by Marjorie Taylor Greene, has scheduled a hearing titled "Locking in the DOGE Cuts: Ending Waste, Fraud, and Abuse for Good." The event will take place on June 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM ET in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center.

The Trump Administration, along with the Department of Government Efficiency, has implemented measures to reduce waste and fraud in government spending. These actions aim to ensure that federal programs operate effectively for American taxpayers. According to Greene, "President Trump and the Department of Government Efficiency have sparked a sweeping overhaul of federal spending by aggressively eliminating waste, fraud, abuse, and redundancy throughout the government."

The upcoming hearing will evaluate these cost-saving strategies and explore how they can be institutionalized to provide ongoing savings. Chairwoman Greene emphasized the importance of this initiative by stating that Congress needs to adjust spending levels to maintain a streamlined government structure. "Now is the time to deliver on our promises to the American people and guarantee that taxpayers reap the benefits of DOGE’s work for generations to come," she added.

Scheduled witnesses include Matthew Dickerson from The Economic Policy Innovation Center (EPIC), David Burton from The Heritage Foundation, and Dan Lips from the Foundation for American Innovation. The hearing is open to both public attendance and media coverage and will also be available via livestream.
