Myron Williams, known by the aliases "Money" and "Tunchi," was sentenced to multiple life terms in prison for his involvement in a racketeering conspiracy linked to the Marion Gardens street gang. The sentencing took place before Judge Michael E. Farbiarz in Newark, New Jersey. Williams received life sentences for both racketeering conspiracy and murder in aid of racketeering, along with additional sentences for drug trafficking and firearm offenses.
Williams's co-defendant, Khalil Kelley, also known as "Billski," had previously been sentenced to life imprisonment on June 5, 2025. His sentence included an additional ten-year term for his role in the gang-related activities and a murder associated with the Marion Gardens street gang.
Another defendant, Jawaad Davis from Jersey City, received a sentence of 170 months for his participation in orchestrating a robbery that resulted in murder as part of the same street gang.
The court proceedings continue for eight other individuals involved with the gang. Roger Pickett, alias "Zy G," was convicted alongside Williams and Kelley. The remaining defendants—Herbert Thomas, Andre Alomar ("Dre8"), Naim Richardson ("Ninicks"), Anthony Rogers ("MG"), Quaseame Wilson ("Qua Gz"), Javon Williams ("J45"), and Keith Anderson ("Beef3")—pleaded guilty before trial. Their sentencing is scheduled over several dates between June and October 2025.
The Marion Gardens street gang has been implicated in numerous violent acts since 2013, including three murders on March 29, 2021; November 20, 2021; and November 1, 2022. These crimes were detailed during court proceedings and supported by evidence collected through investigations.
Authorities have documented extensive narcotics transactions linked to the gang at the Marion Gardens Housing Complex. Herbert Thomas was identified as a key supplier of drugs to the group. Law enforcement seized various illegal items during arrests on March 17, 2023.
U.S. Attorney Habba credited several law enforcement agencies for their roles in this investigation leading to convictions. These included units from Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office under Prosecutor Esther Suarez's direction; special agents from ATF led by Special Agent L.C. Cheeks Jr.; investigators from Jersey City Police Department directed by James Shea; FBI agents under Stefanie Roddy; and U.S. Marshals guided by Juan Mattos.
This case is part of the Jersey City Violent Crime Initiative (VCI), established in 2018 to address violent crime issues collaboratively across federal, state, county, and city levels within Jersey City.
